PTFE combined with e.g. graphite, carbon, molybdenum disulphide, glass fibers and bronze improves mechanical properties such as:
– increased resistance to frictional wear;
– reduction of deformations under load;
– obtaining antistatic properties, etc.
PTFE has excellent chemical and biological resistance - it is the most resistant material to organic and inorganic chemicals as well as fungi and bacteria;
it has a very high anti-adhesiveness - products do not stick to the surface of PTFE, hence it is easy to keep clean;
it has a wide range of application temperatures from -200°C to +260°C;
it has a high resistance to stress cracking;
it susceptible to machining, milling, drilling, cutting;
it has excellent resistance to UV radiation;
it is an excellent dielectric, also for high-frequency currents;
PTFE practically does not absorb water;
it is a self-extinguishing product - flammability according to the UL94-V0% standard.
KREA has specialized in PTFE for over thirty years.
Polytetrafluoroethylene - PTFE is a fluorine polymer whose production was started by DuPont under the brand name DuPont TM Teflon®.
PTFE - polytetrafluoroethylene is produced by various companies under several well-known names: Algoflon®, Dyneon®, Ertaflor®, Fluorosint®, Fluon®, Hostaflon®, Tarflen®, Tecaflon®, Tisoflon® and others.
Due to its properties, PTFE material is widely used in all industries as well as in medicine and gastronomy. It is commonly used in the following industries: food, chemical, textile, plastics, printing, packaging, footwear, pharmaceutical, machinery, energy and electronics.
